Commission on Ministry

The Province IV Commission on Ministry provides a link between the Commission on Ministry chairs for all the dioceses in the province. Since this area is being newly rekindled, the plan currently is an annual meeting of all COM chairs as well as online resources and networking throughout the year.

The Rev. Cn. Zabron A. (Chip) Davis, III, began work as Canon to the Ordinary for the Diocese of West Tennessee in 2010, and works actively in deployment and the Commission on Ministry. For the previous ten years, he served on the Commission on Ministry in the Diocese of Mississippi where he was also involved in diocesan mediation and conflict and consultant training and coordination. He was a self-employed attorney, prosecuting attorney and law professor before seeking holy orders. Following his graduation from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in 1990, he served parishes in Greenville, Church Hill, and Natchez, Miss., and was parochial vicar for St. Benedict’s, Smyrna, Ga., a planted parish near Atlanta for two years before beginning his current position in West Tennessee.
